Annual Awards from Nanotech Briefs Magazine Select the “Best of the Best”
FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc., a leading provider of commercial and industrial inkjet products, has announced that Nanotech Briefs magazine honored its Dimatix Materials Printer (DMP) with a Nano 50 Award in the product category. Award recipients will be acknowledged during NASA Tech Briefs’ National Nano Engineering Conference in Boston, November 9-10, 2006.
“The winners of the Nano 50 Awards are the best of the best – the innovative people and technologies that will continue to move nanotechnology to key mainstream markets,” said Linda L. Bell, publisher of Nanotech Briefs.
“The next era of printable materials will be necessary for the continued advancement of nanotechnology, especially in the areas of electronics and medicine,” said Jan Sumerel, Ph.D., manager of biomedical sciences, FUJIFILM Dimatix. “As a result, non-contact deposition of nanoparticles in their native state is at the forefront of today’s research. To support this research, FUJIFILM Dimatix developed a materials deposition printer that can distribute nanoparticles in a highly precise and repeatable fashion. With the DMP, researchers can rapidly develop nanoinks and the manufacturing processes that employ these inks.”
Nanotech Briefs is a digital monthly magazine from the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs that highlights engineering breakthroughs in nanotechnology and MEMS. This is the second annual Nanotech Briefs Nano 50 Awards since the magazine launched in January 2004.
