The Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN), has developed the Nanotechnology Masters Courses Dircetory and Recognition Scheme in collaboration with a consortium of course-providing academics and industry representatives in the UK. Many European Institutions are now also participating in the scheme.

This Website provides a means for students to search for details of Nano Masters Courses of interest to them. To compare all courses, please go to the summary page.

This Directory should also enable representatives from industry to assess which Nano Masters courses currently involve the skills, and address the areas, that are essential in prospective employees. Our aim is to encourage dialogue between academics and industry, towards courses which equip students with the skills and knowledge required to fulfil industry needs.

The objective of the scheme is to:

 • Enable an online comparison of multi-disciplinary content of courses
 • Allow a prospective student to choose the correct course based on their skills and future aspirations
 • Offer course providers the opportunity to reach out to talent internationally
 • Assist employers in understanding the acquired competences of course graduates, in relation to their business needs.
