The ETP Nanomedicine, an initiative led by industry and set up together with the European Commission is addressing the application of nanotechnology to achieve breakthroughs in healthcare.

This event has been initiated to stimulate transnational cooperation in the framework of several upcoming European calls for project proposals, which are or will be open in 2010:

- EuroNanoMed ERA-NET (publication: 8th March, deadline: 11th June)
- FP7-Health (publication expected in July)
- FP7-NMP (publication expected in July)
- FP7-ICT (publication expected in July)

The Twentieth Anniversary Meeting of the World Congress on Biosensors

Biosensors 2010 will take place 26-28 May 2010 at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre, Glasgow, UK. Launched in Singapore in 1990, this is the first time the Congress has met in the UK. It is the largest and most prestigious conference in the field and will be calling for papers later in the year.
