Q: What is included with the cost of my course ?
A: The course fee covers the course itself, materials provided on the day and refreshments, including lunch. Registration fees DO NOT include accommodations, travel costs, or other subsistence costs.
Q: How can I pay for a course?
A: The most convenient way to pay is online at https://www.nano.org.uk/payments/buildOrder_courses.php where a receipt will automatically be generated. Payments can also be made by:
Cheque: made payable to Institute of Nanotechnology and sent to IoN, Strathclyde University Incubator, 50 Richmond Street, Glasgow, Scotland, UK, G1 1XP.
Bank Transfer: Instruct your bank ‘CHARGES PAID’ and your company’s name in the transfer instruction. Once payment is received confirmation of attendance will be emailed to the attendee.
Q: Are there reduced fees available?
A: We currently offer reduced rates for clinicians, academics and students. We can also offer group discounts. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Q: What other discounts are available?
A: A 10% discount is available when multiple attendees from the same company or organization register at the same time for the same course. The primary registrant is charged the full fee and additional registrants are provided with the 10% discount.
Register for one course at full price and receive a 20% discount on each additional course registered for at the same time.*

Q: How many people would normally attend each course?
A: Each course has 20 – 25 available places. Our small class size ensures focused learning from our course leaders.
Q: Do I have to attend the courses in a particular order?
A: The courses are designed as stand alone modules. You can register for any number of courses and in any order – they are not sequential. If you register for more than one course you can benefit from a discount on registration fees and also from a wide range and depth of information provided by top-class speakers.
Q: Do you offer tailor made courses?
A: If there is a topic you would like us to cover or tailor to your organisation we can customize and deliver courses, of any length or depth, at client sites anywhere in the world, or at an external venue of your choice. This can provide considerable cost savings for your organisation as the course is directly relevant to you and employees from different locations can share the knowledge gained – without the expense of travel and accommodation associated with other courses. We can work directly with you to ensure that training provided meets your needs and addresses specific issues effecting your organisation. Q: What time does my course start/finish?
A: To allow for travel to and from the venue most of our courses run from 10am – 4pm, however please refer to each individual course for course specific agendas. Depending on the venue location we do recommend that adequate time is allocated for travel to and from the venue.
Q: What is the most convenient way to travel to the course?
A: We aim to locate the courses as close to public transport services as possible . Please consult our individual course locations page to find the most convenient means of travel.
Q: What if I need to cancel, postpone or make a substitute for my confirmed delegate place?
A: Once you have received confirmation of your place on the training course you will be liable for the whole fee unless we receive written notification of cancellation . All cancellations must be in writing and cancellation charges apply . No refund will be made for non-attendance on the course.
Substitutions can be made at any time.
If cancellations are made more than 60 days prior to the course, 50% refund will be given.
If cancellations are made less than 60 days prior to the course, course fees can be transferred to an alternative course, which can be used by the registrant or anyone else within his/her company.
If cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to the course, no refund will be given.
Registrants are responsible for canceling their own hotel reservations.
The IoN reserves the right to alter the venue, if necessary.
The IoN reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses at any time.
Q: Will the presentations be distributed before the course?
A: Unfortunately it is extremely difficult to obtain a copy of each presentation prior to or during one of the nanomedicine themed courses, as presenters often modify their presentations shortly before giving lectures.
We will endeavor to obtain as many as the presentations after the course as possible for distribution to delegates. Unfortunately in certain circumstances we are unable to make all the presentations available after a course due to the use of unpublished data and copyright restrictions. We will make every effort to make presentations available to all attendees as soon as possible, which may also include edited presentations where copyright issues apply.
